07-01-26 Partner notification changes

On the 1st business day of each month, we communicate the upcoming changes to partner notifications, as well as partner notifications that are now deprecated. You have until the end of that notice's month (i.e. the "effective at" date) to make necessary updates.
Upcoming breaking changes
Effective July 31, 2026, the holidays_are template variable in the run_bank_holiday_saturday_payroll notification category will be deprecated. A new template variable holiday is available (effective June 30, 2026) as its replacement.

Additions
Two new notification categories have been added, effective July 16, 2026:

upcoming_payroll_reminder | Payroll deadline approaching | The payroll for %{pay_period_start_date} - %{pay_period_end_date} is due %{deadline_description}. Please review and submit before the deadline to ensure your employees are paid on time. |
