We are deprecating new_ein_issued and have deprecated state_tax.nm_complete_unemployment_reg, as previously messaged directly.
You can now schedule effective-dated benefit deductions and contributions directly on external employee benefits. This enables accurate, auditable benefit changes over time—reducing manual work, payroll-time fixes, and partner-side scheduling logic.
We now support time off policy management through a new time_off_management flow type.
Added company.marked_as_high_risk_business and company.marked_as_marijuana_business webhooks. These are emitted, respectively, when a company has been flagged by Gusto as being a high risk for fraud, or as being marijuana-related business.
When a company misses its first pay date (“anchor pay date”), Gusto Embedded now automatically updates the pay schedule to the next valid pay period. This prevents the company’s payroll processing from being blocked by a “missing pay schedule” issue and keeps the company’s onboarding complete.
The company.suspended webhook is now emitted for all companies, when previously it was only emitted for suspended companies that had run payroll. Read more about Company Events.
Updated Pay Schedules endpoints, manage_pay_schedules flow, and flow settings to make it easier to understand whether Autopayroll is enabled and if it's not enabled, what issues are preventing it from being enabled.
