Starting in API version 2023-09-01, we provide more granular risk-related payroll blockers. See the updated guide here for the comprehensive list of blockers.
When a company has open information requests or recovery cases, payroll will be blocked. Previously, we returned the pending_payroll_review blocker. With 2023-09-01 onward, we will return pending_information_request or pending_recovery_case instead. You may leverage these risk-related payroll blockers to build custom risk flows or logic in your application.
Additionally, we deprecated the payroll blocker needs_onboarding to reduce redundancy. Please leverage granular onboarding blockers instead as stated in our payroll blockers guide.
