08-03-26 Partner notification changes

On the 1st business day of each month, we communicate the upcoming changes to partner notifications, as well as partner notifications that are now deprecated. You have until the end of that notice's month (i.e. the "effective at" date) to make necessary updates.
Upcoming breaking changes
There are no breaking changes to partner notifications upcoming in the next month.
Deprecated
The %{holidays_are} template variable has been removed from run_bank_holiday_saturday_payroll, effective at 07-31-2026. The %{holiday} variable is available as a replacement.
Additions
Two notification categories were added on July 16, 2026 and are now available:

autopayroll_payroll_reminder | Upcoming autopayroll deadline approaching | An Autopayroll payroll for %{pay_period_start_date} - %{pay_period_end_date} will be automatically submitted %{deadline_description}. Review employee hours and details before the deadline if any changes are needed. |
upcoming_payroll_reminder | Payroll deadline approaching | The payroll for %{pay_period_start_date} - %{pay_period_end_date} is due %{deadline_description}. Please review and submit before the deadline to ensure your employees are paid on time. |
