On the 1st business day of each month, we communicate the upcoming changes to partner notifications, as well as partner notifications that are now deprecated. You have until the end of that notice’s month (i.e. the “effective at” date) to make necessary updates.
Upcoming breaking changes
Effective April 30, 2026, the following state-specific tax notifications will be deleted as part of the existing effort to send state tax notifications through the broader state_tax_setup_request_required_authorization category:

Additions
A new notification category employee_setup.employer_i9_verification has been added, effective March 11, 2026:
