API Improvements

• Pay Schedules API
  • New workweek_start_day field added to Pay Schedule response objects. Affected endpoints include:
    • Get the pay schedules for a company
    • Get a pay schedule
• Earning Types API
  • New category and included_in_overtime_pay fields added to Earning Type request and response objects. Affected endpoints include:
    • Get all earning types for a company
    • Create a custom earning type
    • Update an earning type
• Payrolls API
  • New workweeks, breakdowns, and pay_adjustments fields added to Payroll response objects. breakdowns can also be set via the update request. Affected endpoints include:
    • Get a single payroll
    • Update a payroll by ID
    • Prepare a payroll for update
  • New 409 Conflict response documented on Update a payroll by ID for lock contention during parallel update requests. This error is retryable.

Documentation

• pay_period.start_date and pay_period.end_date are now correctly typed as nullable on Payroll response objects. Tax reconciliation payrolls have no pay period, so these fields return null in that case. Affected endpoints include:
  • Get all payrolls for a company
  • Get a single payroll
  • Update a payroll by ID
  • Prepare a payroll for update
• current_compensation_uuid is now correctly typed as nullable on Job objects. Returns null when a job has no current compensation record. Affected endpoints include:
  • Get employees of a company
  • Create an employee
  • Get an employee
  • Update an employee
